YOU KEEP FIGHTING

Annalise,

I know you HATE it when we talk about treatment stuff, but I want us all to remember where we were at this moment in our journey.

Thursday we spent over 9 hours at CHOP, waiting for you to get an MRI. Through all the sitting around, IV pokes, and annoying “N.P.O.”-induced hunger, your amazing attitude carried us – singing songs and playing Heads Up.

It was around 8pm that we finally got the results of the MRI and it confirmed our concerns — the tumor is growing again. To be honest, we didn’t really need the MRI to know that though as the headaches, double vision, vomiting and balance issues were all pointing to that.

As upsetting as this is, don’t be discouraged. The trial medicine takes time to work. For the kids who it has worked for, many saw their tumor grow before shrinking. We just have to give it a chance. These are the moments we all need to be strong for. This is the fight – and we’re not even close to giving up.

“EVERY LITTLE THING, GONNA BE ALRIGHT”
